School tours are one of the highlights of our school year. During the final term, each class looks forward to the “big day” when they head off with their friends for a fun filled day of activities and events. Our school tours are both educational and enjoyable.
The Infant classes usually visit a pet farm or some similar place where they can have fun in a safe and contained environment. First and second class visit the zoo or an activity centre which is further away from the school – giving them a longer day to enjoy with their friends.
The senior pupils – from 3rd to 6th class generally avail of water-based activities. They alternate between canoeing and surfing and also become involved in land-based activities from the Outdoor and Adventure Activities Strand of the PE curriculum. Their day generally concludes with a visit to a shopping centre where they can roam freely – under the watchful eyes of their teachers!
