Our school is taking part in the Gaelbhratach scheme this year. We have been on a waiting list for many years and we are delighted to embrace this project. The Gaelbhratach flag is awarded upon satisfactory completion of the scheme, which usually takes about two years. The programme promotes natural opportunities to speak Irish outside of the formal classroom setting. The scheme seeks to breathe new life into Gaeilge. Foras na Gaeilge sponsor it and it is supported by the Department of Education. The staff and pupils are
putting their heart and soul into the project. Mrs Warren has helped organise a coiste (committee) involving the children and each week at assembly we have some phrasaí na seachtaine. Jane from Gaelbhratach visited our school on 21/3/23. Bhuail sí leis na múinteoirí agus na páistí. Bhain sí sult as an cuairt.
