6 February 2020 at 7.30pm: Next Parents' Council Meeting
There will be a Parents' Council Meeting on 6 February at 7.30pm. We will discussing this years' fund raisings amongst other things. Meeting will be held in the school.

12 December 2019: Donations and help needed for yearly Christmas Raffle
With Christmas right around the corner, so is the Parents’ Council’s yearly Christmas Raffle, held on 13 December at 10am in St. Brigid’s Hall. Raffle prizes include hampers, vouchers and other items. In order to make the hampers and prizes, we are looking for donations of non-perishable items, such as: vouchers, small craft item, tinned foods, sweets, biscuits, dry packed foods (pasta, noodles) and drinks. No frozen foods, fresh fruit, meat items or other perishable items can be accepted.

On 12 December at 7pm we will be putting together the hampers in the school. With a few extra hands we would be done much quicker. Come and lend us a hand while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit. We would appreciate your help very much and we hope to see you then!

We are sending out the Raffle cards soon. Please return raffle cards and bring in donations to the school office by 10 December at the latest.

20 November 2019: Parents' council meeting
The next Parents' Council meeting will be held on Wednesday 20 November from 7.30 to 9.00pm in the school. The following items will be on the agenda.

  • Review Halloween Disco
  • Updates from the Principal
  • Fund raising
  • Preparation Christmas activities
  • State of Accounts
  • AOB

26 October 2019 from 3 to 5pm: Halloween Disco
The Parents Council invites all children to the Halloween Disco, held on Saturday 26 October from 3 to 5pm in Ben Mulhall Complex in Clonegal. There will be a donation box at the door and we ask each child to contribute two euro towards fundraising for the school. Please note that children must be accompanied by a parent and will remain the responsibility of their parent while the disco is on.

3 October 2019: Minutes Parents' Council Annual General Meeting
During the Annual General Meeting the new committee was formed. Alison Murphy will stay on as Chairperson, Breda Murphy as Treasurer, Eveline van Manen as Secretary. Also Catherine O'Brien as Vice Treasurer and Sarah Kirwan as Vice Secretary. We would like to express our thanks to Emma Walsh for all her support as Vice Chairperson.

During the meeting our Principal outlined some ideas for financial support from the Parents' Council and a start was made on the upcoming events. We would love to hear your ideas on how to raise funds. Come to our next meeting or e-mail us at

2 October 2019 from 7.30pm: AGM meeting Parents' Council
The following will be on the agenda for the Parents' Council Annual General Meeting (AGM), held in the school:

  • Sign in and welcome
  • Update on last year's activities
  • Treasurers report
  • Upcoming events
  • Requests for fundraising from school
  • Fundraising plans/ideas
  • Committee appointment 2019-2020
  • AOB

At every AGM the Parent Council committee of the previous year steps down and a new committee is elected. With this in mind we would like to receive nominations for the new committee – this will be done at the meeting from those present on the night. We would strongly encourage parent’s attendance at this event, as without a complete parent’s council we cannot continue to organise events/ fundraisers for the benefit of your children. Just to remind you of some of the events that the Parent’s Council organise: Halloween Party/ Disco, Christmas Hamper Raffle, Santa’s Visit, Trolley Raffle. Your support is greatly appreciated.
